the November HOA meeting to identify the
start of our subdivision, was attached on
1/4 just below the "Watch for Children" sign along Wyndham Hill Drive. Just

be installed during the first week in January
and will look a bit like the image shown

- Neighborhood house decorations and lights - Have you walked around our neighborhood

- Wondering about all those worms? Here's a bit of trivia. At certain times,
best called seasons, worms come to the surface
after a drenching rain to... yes... to mate.
How they do that you'll have to find out
on your own.

- Emerald Hills Homeowners Meeting, Monday 11/15, 7pm at Yancy Firestation.
All owners are encouraged to attend and take
part in HOA meetings. Nominations will be
accepted and considered at this meeting.

- All member mailing was done today, 10/19.: A package was sent to all Emerald Hills
HOA members today that contains a cover letter,
financial summary, subdivision map, ARC and
database update forms, covenants for your
section, and a dues status slip. If you do
not get this package by Friday the 22nd or
it does not appear correct, please contact
our Vice President so we can fix any problems. Please let our
webmaster know via Email or the enclosed database update / correction
form of any addressing problems.

News Items as of 10/14/2004
- Crime in our neighborhood has increased significantly
in the last month. There have been reports of cars being
broken into at night as well as mailboxes
being vandalized. To decrease the likelihood
of being a victim of these cowardly acts,
please leave your outside lights on at night
and lock all your car doors. If you see something
suspicious, do not hesitate to report it
to the Augusta County Sheriff's Office at
943-8896.

- Registered to vote? Today, 10/4, is the last day to register
to vote in the upcoming general election.
Check with the Virginia State Board of Elections for details.
- The Emerald Hills Homeowners association
covenants do not permit signs placed in yards unless the sign is advertising the property
for sale or rent (refer to the covenants for details). The only exception to this
is section 1, which does not have this restriction
in their covenants. To verify what section you are in, please
refer to the online maps. The association officers do not patrol
the neighborhood looking for covenant violations.
If we receive word that there is a violation,
we will contact the owners of the property
to clarify the circumstances and resolve
the violation. The association does not want
to discourage political involvement however,
we have to enforce the covenantsthat are in place.

significant rain from hurricane Ivan starting
as early as late Thursday night. Now's a
good time to check the drainage ditches around
your home to make sure they are clear of

from Francis. Just under 3" inches of
rain fell here from the 6th through the 8th,
with 1.81" on the 8th. For more detail,

drainage ditches. Please remember that no
materials, grass clippings, etc. may be placed
into the ditches.
